Hi, this is Nicky and at ThreadsApart I am fulfilling my dream of making unique and beautiful handmade gifts for those special people in your life, especially you!

I design, make and create bespoke, heirloom books in which to keep treasured mementos and memories. All my books tell a story. Layers of fabric are fused together in order to build up an image which is finally accentuated with stitch. Each individual piece is worked in close collaboration with the client to make a gift to treasure.

As well as speciality books I make journals and notebook covers in a cacophony of colour, greetings cards for every occasion, cards that turn into pictures, wall hangings, keepsake caskets… The list is endless. Just contact me if there is anything specific you would like me to create and I would be delighted to help you.

While I try to use mainly pre-loved fabrics and notions I find that I accumulate many different items one of which is knitting yarn.  During lockdown I rediscovered a love of knitting and crochet, particularly Tunisian crochet.  When you follow my Projects Page you will see how my OddBalls at ThreadsApart is progressing.
