I was asked to make an album as a sixtieth wedding anniversary gift.
Waves of white satin, embossed and sheer fabrics were fused on to a white background. The cloth was machine stitched using various textured threads and finally embellished with a variety of beads and sequins.
Inside the album I sewed in a printed opaque sheet with “Happy Anniversary” in a variety of fonts, leaving a rectangle for greetings to be written. On subsequent pages I transferred an image of the wedding couple onto sheer fabric and also did the same with their marriage certificate.
