Decisions, decisions…

A while ago I made a floral hanging from scraps of dyed fabrics overprinted and accentuated with hand stitch. Not surprisingly a little turquoise snuck in! Now I think it’s time to up-cycle. Shall I make some little book covers, or maybe some greetings cards? Which to do? Perhaps some of each…

Loving my new prop…

I have made a new set of greetings cards good for most occasions – birthday, new home, change of address, get well, just saying “hello”….. It’s a good excuse to try out my latest prop and a few plants do make it look better.

A hoe down….

My Victorian kitchen fireplace has been neglected and left outside to rust all winter…… but I have given it a new lease of life. After hoeing the ground it has been fixed to the garden wall and will double up as a prop to display new books and cards that need photographing. Now just need to do some planting.

Proper sewing….

I have such a huge collection of fabric I’d forgotten I had so I thought it was time to do some ‘proper’ sewing. In between gardening and de-cluttering I decided I shouldn’t really need to buy clothes when I have so much fabric so this is what I did this week. With this flowing material I made a quick and easy draping cap sleeve dress. Now just need the right occasion to wear it.
