Cheery flowers…
for a very sad situation!!! I am making blue and yellow chiffon brooches with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the relief charities in Ukraine. From contemporary circles to crinkly edged petals there is something for everyone.

for endless occasions. My stash of vintage tray cloths are turning into an almost never ending mountain of cards.
Having so many tray cloths with floral designs in a variety of colours makes it a pleasure to create individual cards with a nostalgic feel.
I’ve been asked to turn some shirts into four cushion covers for a mum who has recently lost her son to cancer. It’s an emotional request to fulfill and quite daunting to make something that will be treasured.
Rather than making numerous holes in clothes I like to attach one of my handmade brooches to a long necklace to make a unique and eye catching statement piece.
however you choose. These handmade, chiffon brooches are the ideal accessory that can be worn in a number of ways. One of my favourites is to use one to secure a scarf or shawl in place.
Who would ever guess that orange is my latest favourite colour? So much so, I’ve even incorporated it into my diary cover. A little gift from me-to-me!
I made mini notebooks from leather swatches, remnants of lingerie elastic, sketchbook paper off-cuts and vintage buttons. There’s nothing more satisfying than giving otherwise unwanted items a new lease of life.
A new spin on my ‘cards-to-keep’ is a card and brooch combo. Rather than just attaching a handmade brooch to a piece of card I added it to a flower card giving it more of a 3D effect. This way the two-in-one card and brooch is the ideal gift-to-go.
Another two pairs of blooms are ready-to-go. As winter looms my colourways seem to be getting brighter and bolder. A sure tonic to guarantee cheeriness.
