As a break from sewing I’ve been teaching myself how to do Tunisian crochet so practising in my favourite colour is a joy – and, fancy, one of the hooks is turquoise, too!
As a break from sewing I’ve been teaching myself how to do Tunisian crochet so practising in my favourite colour is a joy – and, fancy, one of the hooks is turquoise, too!
After sorting through my mountains of scraps I made a couple of little zip bags and two make-up brush rolls. These were things I’ve never made before but ‘sew’ satisfying to do! I’ll try some different styles and sizes to see which is my favourite.
but not for long! I have so many boxes filled with smallish scraps of fabric and while sorting through them new projects came to mind. Perhaps I could make purses, pouch bags and Kindle cases. I’ll have a little play and let you know how I get on.
My younger daughter is getting married next year and I am on bunting duty. She gave me some fabrics and searching through my stash I found quite a few to compliment them. Next step is cutting them out but I need enough to decorate a marquee – I’d better start soon!
