I bought this cute little jute bag and am turning it into a handbag. With co-ordinating fabric to line it I have made pockets for an iPad, phone and pens and rouleaus to anchor my purse and keys – all zipped in securely so nothing can fall out. Next job is to add some teensy sequins and a few more beads to make the poppies really stand out.
This travel bag is ready to try out on my next trip to see how well it functions but I think it may need a few little tweaks before I’m really happy with it…
In my stash of fabrics I found this vintage style woven fabric filled with wording and travel stamps. Just right for a travel bag with zip pockets and just large enough to carry passport, phone, cards and keys. It will fold flat and hang close across the body – so unobtrusive it can even be worn under a coat for carefree sightseeing.
