Woven wedding books…
It’s time to get ready for the wedding season so I’m trying something new. By weaving torn strips from an antique damask tablecloth light catches the shiny patterns in the fabric. If all goes to plan this cloth will make a range of nostalgic heirloom books. There may even be enough left over to make a card or two.

as the date for my younger daughter’s wedding creeps nearer. It’s only 5 months away now so I thought I had better make a start on the bunting. Wish me luck with 70 pennants down and several miles to go!
By taking a few torn strips of fabric and sewing them together with handstitch, a rich cloth appears as if by magic. The dramatic colourway gives me an idea for my next crop of Christmas cards – it’s never too early to start!
