A kaleidoscope of colour…
As my daughter’s wedding day looms closer the piles of pennants grow higher. I’m making ‘miles’ of bunting but had better do a count up soon – I won’t want to have made too many!!

Wedding books, even my daughter’s, are temporarily on the back burner as I’ve a decorating deadline. Thank goodness it’s the last room!
So… while stripping walls I uncovered this trellis imprint beneath painted woodchip. It’s all that’s left of a once pretty Victorian wallpaper. It may even inspire me for a vintage wedding cloth.
Now adding some trims to a woven cloth: vintage sheer ribbon and perlé cotton. Some rows of sparkly thread gives a subtle twinkle but beads and sequins will be added before it’s finally finished.
Finally getting round to the last of the DIY with skirting boards to strip and painted wood-chip to scrape off the walls. I notice my gloves are not holding up to the heat of the gun so I hope my nails don’t melt! I’ll be glad to get back to sewing – it’s much safer!!
