I randomly stitched some poppies in place on one side of the bag then sewed black faceted lozenge beads elsewhere.  Less is more!

To keep the contents of the shoppers safe I’m making a zip fastening for the linings so nothing can fall out.

I couldn’t decide which lining to choose so I’m using both!  The inserts have an array of pockets: for tablet, phone, specs, pens, lipstick… hopefully making everything easy to find.  There will even be a rouleau and clip so keys don’t end up at the bottom of the bag.

My customer has asked me to decorate a shopper for his mother in readiness for Remembrance Day.  I’m starting by making lots of poppies for the outside of the bag.  By building up several layers in different fabrics pretty 3D poppies have sprung up everywhere.
