is finally finished and ready to go to the bride and groom. I’ve suggested that on each wedding anniversary they put a photo in the album so they have a lifetime of happy memories to look back upon.
My next task is to make a book to fit snugly inside this wedding memory box. Even with the book inside there will be plenty of room to store treasured mementoes of a wonderful day.
I’ve finally made a start on constructing the wedding box and it’s a bit of a challenge! This is the lid but it’s a bit tricky to photograph without the box part to lay it on so I’ve hung it upside down from a cupboard door that I just renovated.
I’m moving away from total whites for my next range of wedding books and including neutral shades. After that I’m going to be more ‘out-of-the-box’ and incorporate brighter colours – maybe to complement the bridal flowers or bridesmaids dresses.
My kitchen fireplace has been standing out in all weathers since the beginning of summer and is now very rusty and distressed – just how I like it! Not one to throw things out easily I shall place it in the garden ready to use as a foil to show off my books and cards.
For a stunning album that any bride would treasure – waves of beautiful bridal fabrics are stitched down with sparkling threads and finally beaded to catch the light.
This caramel and black colourway was inspired by the wavy lines in the sand left by the outgoing tide and the beautiful shapes, colours and tones of shells and stones.
