and who wouldn’t love a notebook in which to record their travels? As we can’t venture too far at the moment these quilted books could be used to write up interesting info about past and future trips abroad…… or, at the moment, favourite staycation destinations.

Quilted Father’s Day cards are ready to go on sale at Craft Coop Windsor. I’ve not attempted calligraphy before and I found it very relaxing and enjoyably trying out the various scripts.
and making good use of some furnishing fabric swatches by using them for the backgrounds. This is also where small snippets of fabric come in handy and I’ve learned it’s best never to throw any away!!
so it’s time to gather a few ‘manly’ fabrics together so I can make a start on some cards. Oh, and maybe a notebook or two.
I had a frame made for a specific place but, as the aperture is 22 x 62cm, I’ve so far had no luck in finding anything to fit in it or to even cut down to size. As I like my Windsor Castle textile miniatures I’m having a go at scaling up the design to fit the frame.
Looking through my stash of wool roving I thought I’d try out a mix of greys and yellow. The combination turned out much better than I hoped and I have to say I really like it. So now there are no more excuses for not being adventurous!
I’m revisiting a fun craft – felting soaps. With having to wash our hands so often it’s great to work up a vigorous lather of foamy bubbles and keep the germs at bay!
As I’m about to start a new project I thought I’d better make an effort and clean my irons. One down, two to go…
