Adding a fabric photo of the happy couple gives their book an extra special personal touch then after the wedding ceremony I’ll sew in a voile picture of their marriage certificate.

Treasure trove…..
My next task is to make a book to fit snugly inside this wedding memory box. Even with the book inside there will be plenty of room to store treasured mementoes of a wonderful day.

Box clever…..
By adding a few panels covered in vintage damask the wedding box is coming along nicely.

Top of the Box…
I’ve finally made a start on constructing the wedding box and it’s a bit of a challenge! This is the lid but it’s a bit tricky to photograph without the box part to lay it on so I’ve hung it upside down from a cupboard door that I just renovated.

A Carpet of Crystals
In between renovating the staircase I found time in the week to finish beading this wedding cloth. It’s now ready to make into an heirloom book and memory box for a Spring wedding. I had better get a scurry on……..!

Breaking with tradition…
I’m moving away from total whites for my next range of wedding books and including neutral shades. After that I’m going to be more ‘out-of-the-box’ and incorporate brighter colours – maybe to complement the bridal flowers or bridesmaids dresses.

I just love a Wedding Fair….
I really enjoyed my first Wedding Fair at Pinewood Studios with Prestige Wedding Fairs. The couples were so enthusiastic about planning for their big day and they were really complimentary about my work. I have some more Fairs booked for next season so from the feedback I received I shall be adding colour to my designs. After all, not everyone wants white!

‘Tis time to wed……
I am just getting ready to exhibit at my first wedding fair at Heatherden Hall and thinking about how to present my range. My wedding cloths have been rolled into scrolls ready to customise and I’ve hung these little chiffon and organza message hearts on a Wishing Tree. They seem to look more like gift tags but I think that’s no bad thing. Oh well !!!

The Wedding Fair season is here…..
I have been thinking about how I need to present my books at a Wedding Fair I am preparing for. I bought a three-tier perspex display rack which I am really pleased with and hope it will show the books off well.

Turquoise, turquoise everywhere…..
I’m prepping a range of wedding books in my new ‘Studio’. It is very white but my signature colour seems to be popping up everywhere – notice that my ironing cloth and even my iron is turquoise!
