Christmas Extravaganza Countdown

9Made from scraps…. A selection of covers made from layers of muslin, paper bags, chiffon, lots and lots of glue, paint, stitch and sequins. They look delicate but are very hardwearing so ideal for everyday use. You can find them at the “Pudding Cup Art Markets Christmas Extravaganza”.

Beautiful Bargello

post-1202A friend gave me a beautiful piece of her unfinished Bargello embroidery to do with what I wished! Don’t tell her I cut it up! Teamed with co-ordinating slub silk and gimp I’m very pleased with the way this diary cover turned out.

DIY v Sewing?

post-1111Found a fabulous little crate which is exactly the right size to display my collection of mini journals and needle cases.  So, for a change, I’m trying my hand at a bit of DIY and sanding the paint off to give it a more distressed look.  The result is much more satisfying than buying something new but a sewing machine is so much easier to handle than a sander!
