Everlasting Christmas greetings…
Instead of making cards that are destined for the recycling bin, I’ve been designing textile keepsakes that make an ideal small gift. A cross between a card and a pressie which can be hung on a tree or at a window, these little handmade dyed and stitched pictures are my way of helping the planet.

My friends ‘New Home’ picture is coming along well. Will they notice, I wonder, that I used a fabric with fanciful horticultural words and phrases for the quirky house?
There’s nothing quite like a festive Craft Fair to get people in the mood for Christmas – especially when the Christmas lights have just been switched on and carols are being sung… It seemed to put them in the right frame of mind to purchase my goodies!
Some friends are moving shortly so I’m making them a picture, too. As keen gardeners I wonder what they will make of the the whimsical trees.
I’m really delighted with the way this discarded piece of textile turned out! I hate throwing anything away and I’m sure my daughter will be pleased with what I did with her unwanted piece of work.
My daughter’s ‘New Home’ picture is nearly done and just needs some hand embroidery to finish it off. Perhaps some colourful little flowers and a flying bird or two…?
