Looking through the windows…
Victorian sash cord windows rescued from next door’s front garden (with their permission, of course!). With a little TLC and some tentative ideas they will be repurposed for a new life. A triple triptych, perhaps?

My little snippets of varying blue fabrics have been assembled into dainty blooms. The finished item is a little hanging ‘card-to-keep. It’s a pleasure to be given carte blanche when designing and delightful to hear that the item has been well received!
Asked to make a birthday card in blue, I rummaged through a bag of bits and found just the colour. For the background I used a piece of furnishing fabric from a book of sample pieces. It’s so satisfying to be able to give something a new lease of life rather than just throwing it out.
Who knew that there were so many colours and shades of elastic to be had? I’m looking forward to using them in my latest Cards-to-Keep range. Some birthday candles maybe…?
Does anyone else get super excited when given a bag full of odds and snippets? I was given lots of lacy bits and pretty elastics which will take me an age to sort – but very therapeutic!
