Everlasting Christmas greetings…
Instead of making cards that are destined for the recycling bin, I’ve been designing textile keepsakes that make an ideal small gift. A cross between a card and a pressie which can be hung on a tree or at a window, these little handmade dyed and stitched pictures are my way of helping the planet.

There’s nothing quite like a festive Craft Fair to get people in the mood for Christmas – especially when the Christmas lights have just been switched on and carols are being sung… It seemed to put them in the right frame of mind to purchase my goodies!
By taking a few torn strips of fabric and sewing them together with handstitch, a rich cloth appears as if by magic. The dramatic colourway gives me an idea for my next crop of Christmas cards – it’s never too early to start!
At this Christmas Fair I was lucky enough to be given three tables so I could take out all my stock and show more of my non-festive goodies, too.
I do enjoy selling at Fairs. It’s so nice to chat to people about my absolute favourite subject… making, making and more making.
Just finished some more gift tags to sell at a Christmas Fair. This time they are studded with gems, sequins and hologram snowflakes that will catch the light.
and nearly ready for Christmas. These fun snowmen are being made into festive tags that will really stand out on a gift wrapped in plain paper.
or perhaps one of each!
I’ve toned down the brightness of this range of Christmas cards and chosen to decorate them with muted shades for a more stylish and grown-up look.
My little Christmas card collection is shaping up nicely. I’ve started with the festive colours of red and green but as soon as they’re finished I’m going to experiment with more unusual combinations for those who (like me) prefer something less traditional.
